Powder
The following particles are available for a wide range of powder applications
We convert a nanoemulsion to microparticles by spray drying or spray chilling. Removing the water from a nanemulsion increases shelf-life from 6 months to 3 years, decreases unit weight from 250 grams to less than 1 gram, and does not require a temperature controlled environment. The active ingredient in a nanoemulsion can be cannabinoids like delta-9 THC (D9) or other functional ingredients. The localization of D9 can be in the core and/or interface of the oil phase and may affect stability and/or release characteristics. The type of emulsifier(s) plays a key role and varies with formulations, including the head and tail of the structure. The particle size of a microparticle ranges from 2 to 100 μm and can be controlled with engineered precision.
